Buffalo Blue Cheese Turkey Burgers with Crunchy Slaw

I’ve never met anyone in my life who loves blue cheese more than my Dad. While my parents were visiting this weekend we were discussing the blog and I realized I hadn’t done many (or any) recipes featuring blue cheese. While many people either love it or hate it, I find it’s great when combined with other flavors – especially spicy ones. These juicy turkey burgers have SO much flavor and that flavor is enhanced even more with the sweet and crunchy slaw. I served mine without a bun, but this would also be great served on a ciabatta roll with some spicy mustard.

 1. Combine slaw ingredients in a large bowl. Adjust seasonings as needed and set aside.

2. Combine burger ingredients in a separate bowl and shape the mixture into 4 patties.

3. Preheat grill to medium-high. Cook burgers for 5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.

4. Transfer burgers to a serving platter and top with slaw. Serve with an extra sprinkle of blue cheese on top, if desired.
