Grits are one of my favorite side dishes because they are super creamy and comforting. This side dish is ready in under 10 minutes and packs huge flavor! Serve this with shrimp or sausage and dinner is ready in no time.
- Boil milk in a medium saucepan. Slowly stir in grits, salt and pepper.
2. Reduce heat to medium-low and cover. Cook 5-7 minutes, or until the grits have thickened.
3. Stir in goat cheese, cheddar, butter and diced jalapeno and remove pan from heat. Serve.
Jalapeno Cheese Grits
Serves 4
All you need:
4 cups milk
1 cup quick-cook grits
1/4 teaspoon salt
Pinch black pepper
2 oz. plain goat cheese
2 oz. shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 jalapeno, seeded and finely diced
All you do:
