With the holidays in full swing, I like to include some simple dishes on my menu that will please both kids and adults. These sliders are a great way to feed a crowd and you can easily make this recipe with other meats and cheeses as well (for example, roast beef and cheddar). Serve these on a platter and prepare to wow your crowd!
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced onion; reduce heat to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden brown. Season with salt and remove from heat.
3. Combine melted butter, poppy seeds, garlic and Worcestershire in a small bowl. Set aside.
4. Split slider buns in half horizontally and place bottom halves on a baking sheet. Spread mayo on the bottom layer and top with half of the ham. Top with Swiss cheese, the remaining ham and onions.
5. Spread the top bun layer with honey mustard and Dijon mustard. Place on top of the ham and press down lightly. Brush with the melted butter mixture and cover with foil. Bake for 10 minutes.
6. Remove foil and bake for 3-5 minutes longer, or until the tops are golden brown (watch carefully so they don’t burn). Once out of the oven, allow to rest for 5 minutes, then cut and enjoy!
